Similar to Spalding Education, Littles Reading uses the Ayers List to create a word study. Our Advanced Preschool and Emergent Reader Preschool workbooks begin introducing word study from this list to offer preparation for the Kindergarten curriculum.

KINDERGARTEN

In Kindergarten, Littles Reading begins with an introduction to the alphabet and alphabetic order. We then teach the vowels and consonants before beginning our word study and spelling notebook where additional multi-letter phonograms are taught as we work our way through the first 240 words on the Ayers List.
